The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an entrance exam administered throughout India by the nation's law schools and universities to students who wish to choose law as a profession. It provides admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs (L.L.M. and L.L.B.) for students. As we all know, studying law is a great challenge for any student who needs to study every subject thoroughly as it is a really demanding profession. Since it is a difficult course of study, many students do not opt for these courses. Therefore, we try to provide students with detailed knowledge on how to pass this entrance exam.

1. Thoroughly go through the syllabus Before studying any subject, we must first see what subject should be covered. Which topic should be given more attention or focused on? Each topic is important in its own way. Let us say that for studying CLAT, there are five major subjects to study, namely English, general knowledge and current affairs, mathematics, logical reasoning, and legal aptitude. For example, for English: reading comprehension, idioms and phrases, conjunctions, spelling, synonyms, and sentence structure - are some of the important topics that need to be covered, and you need to see how to use them in sentences. In Mathematics: to test the aptitude of the candidates, certain topics like profit and loss, simple and compound interest, percentage, ratio and proportion, number system, time and distance, etc. are covered. For general knowledge, topics such as current affairs, geography, important dates, and current news are to be studied. Legal aptitude includes topics such as corporate law, criminal law, family law, and legal principles.

2. Time management for different subjects Time management is the most important thing to focus on. Depending on which subject seems more difficult, one should take more time. A student should study at least 8 hours a day if he wants to pass the exam with a good score. One can study in small intervals with breaks, for example for mathematics, one should practice for at least 3 hours. Another 2/3 hours should be spent on another subject like logical thinking.

3. test yourself After you have finished your studies for the day, you should see whether you have understood the subject or not. Taking a practice test helps us determine which subject was well prepared and which subject should be given more attention. This can be done daily or weekly.

4. sleep properly One should stick to the concept of "go to bed early and get up early". A proper hour of sleep is as important as studying. Adequate sleep keeps the mind fresh and helps in learning what one has learned.

5. Prepare notes Making notes will help you cover important topics. Write down the points and learn based on your own material. It is better to learn with your own notes than with the books. These are some of the effective methods that help a student to do well in a CLAT exam.
