Using Natural Makeup for a Wedding - Glisten Makeup
I recently had to attend a friend's wedding. I am not a big fan of dramatic makeup. I do not like the tons of makeup you have to apply to achieve that look, and I do not like the dramatic look itself. On the other hand, I also knew that I would not photograph well if I did not wear flashy makeup.
So I was faced with a dilemma that I did not know how to solve. And that's when something my mother had told me a long time ago came to my rescue.
In high school, I was always very tempted to put on makeup. I used everything that was in a makeup box. But my mom always told me that I did not need to put makeup on my whole face, just the places that needed it.
For example, if you are one of the lucky few who are blessed with flawless skin, then you can apply foundation and concealer.
Or if you have stunning eyes, you do not need to apply full eye makeup. The most important thing is to keep your makeup to a minimum so that the real you comes out.
Some makeup suggestions to make you look natural
You should always feel comfortable with the makeup you wear. Your friends may wear a lot of makeup. But that does not mean you have to imitate them just to belong.
Before you put on makeup, cleanse your face. Then apply a water-based moisturizer. Wait five to ten minutes before proceeding with makeup.
Although most makeup artists insist on primer, know that it is not necessary. However, if you feel it is necessary, make sure that the color is as close to your skin tone as possible.
Do not go overboard with the blush. One stroke is enough if you want to keep it natural. Opt for a neutral shade that does not smother your face.
Lipstick is also not necessary. You will look much better with some lip gloss.
When it comes to eye makeup, limit yourself to mascara. Make sure you only apply a couple of layers, though, or it will be too much. If you must use a liner, go for a brown one rather than a black one.
This will give you a comfortable look and all the guests at the party will definitely look your way!
