Five Things To Know Before Hiring An Architecture - A360 Architects
A Good Architect is so important for your dream House,Villa,Banglow, or A Corporate Building as It Should be Look Great And Space Should Be Utilized Carefully Otherwise it will Waste of money And Time Also. I Follow Most Of The Architects But I Personally Like A360 Architects He's A Well Known Architect In Bangalore And In India Too.
1. Visit the architect's office.
An architect's office can tell you a lot about their design esthetic and creativity. However, usually the first meeting with a client takes place on the job site, so you may not have the opportunity to visit the architect's office. Schedule a visit to the architect's office within a few days of the initial meeting.
2. A messy architect's office can be a red flag.
An architect has hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of information to organize, and a messy office could be a clear warning sign. However, do not confuse an artist's creativity with disorganization. Models or modeling supplies, drawing paper and sketches can be a sign of true creativity, but project information is usually kept in binders and file cabinets. Large piles of unsorted paper are probably not a good sign.
3. Ask your architect if he uses 3D software (the answer should be "yes" - then ask him if he uses BIM
The latest architectural software is called BIM (Building Information Model) and the more sophisticated architects use it. A house or project designed with BIM is designed completely or almost completely in three dimensions (3D). In addition, in many cases, the software can help avoid errors in coordinating drawings because the two-dimensional drawings are all "extracted" from the 3D model. The software also keeps track of things like the sizes of individual doors and windows, and when a size is changed in one drawing, it is automatically updated in another. This can be a real help in reducing errors.
4. Training is the basis of an architect's experience.
While attending a good school can help ensure that your architect has a good foundation to build on, a better indicator is usually how an architect did in the school they attended. Many architecture instructors will tell you that 10-20% of students are truly talented designers, and few students who were not have improved significantly over the course of their education. To get a sense of how an architect has done in school, ask about design awards they may have won or exhibitions they have participated in. When asking about academic performance, distinguish between design studio classes and non-design studio classes.
5. Know who you will be working with.
If you are hiring a company with multiple employees, find out who you will actually be working with. In many cases, the person you interview with will not actually be doing much work on your project. If the person you will be working with is not present at the interview, ask to visit the architect's office and meet the person or people who will be part of your team. Also ask to see the credentials of these team members.
