 If you divide the sky into twelve different parts, these 12 areas are called zodiac signs/star signs. However, if you divide the sky into 27 equal sections, they are called nakshatras. In the division, each zodiac sign covers a zone of 30° of the circle of 360°. However, each nakshatra covers 13.33° (approximately).

In other words, we can say that the nakshatras are a smaller part of the twelve zodiac signs we have in astrology. So from Aries to Pisces, 2.25 parts (approximately) of each nakshatra falls under each zodiac sign.

The four goals of life and the nakshatras

Our life consists of four goals - dharma, artha, kama and mosha. By looking at the position of the nakshatra in the planets, you can find out the main goal of a person's life.

Dharma basically illustrates what you do or should do. It represents the fulfilment of the soul with daily work and activities.

The next is artha. It illustrates wealth and income so that you feel fulfilled in terms of your food and shelter.

The third is Kama. It represents your desire to pursue every desire.

The last is Moksha, which represents the liberation of your soul.

An interesting fact is that each goal of life represents an element in astrology. Dharma shows a strong connection with fire, Artha with earth, and Kama and Moksha with water.


The Meaning of Nakshatra in Astrology

In Vedic astrology, the analysis of Nakshatra is very important. It is generally responsible for finding out how a person thinks, understands or perceives life. Moreover, with the help of these nakshatras, you can also find out the dasha period in your horoscope.
