Vastu Purush originated from the sweat of Lord Shiva. When Lord Shiva's sweat fell on the earth, Vastu Purush was born from it and fell on the ground. Vastu Shastra was created to please Vastu Purush. The effect of Vastu Purush remains in all directions. After this, at the behest of Vastu Purush, Brahma ji made the rules of Vastu Shastra. According to which any house or building is made. After this, worship of Vastu Purush is important on every occasion from Bhoomi Pujan to Griha Pravesh. Along with this, worship of Lord Shiva, Ganesha, and Brahma must be done. This makes the land pure and the people living there are not disturbed in any way.

From Bhoomi Pujan to Griha Pravesh, Vastu Puja is necessary

According to Puranas, Vastu Purush is worshiped on the occasion of any kind of construction work. Doing this gives auspicious results. That's why first of all the Vastu Devta is worshiped at the time of Bhoomi Pujan. After this, at the time of digging the foundation, at the time of installing the main door, and also during the housewarming, the method of worshiping Vastu Purush has been told. Due to this, the people living in that house stay away from all kinds of troubles. They also get all kinds of happiness and prosperity.

Vastu Purush is considered the main deity of the building. According to Vastu Shastra, Vastu Purush is situated facing down on the ground. Adhomukha means their face is towards the ground and their back is upwards. The head is in the northeast direction i.e. in the northeast direction, and the feet are in the southwest angle i.e. in the southwest direction. Thus his arms are in the east and north.

Brahmaji made the rules of Vastu Shastra

The rules of Vastu Shastra have been explained in many Puranas, but they have been specially explained in Matsya Purana. According to this, Brahmaji had created the rules of Vastu Shastra only on the request of Vastu Purush. Their information reached the common people through Puranas through other texts.
